Yazidis & genocide amendment is successful – House of Lords

Legislation: Nationality and Borders Bill – Amendment 51.

Amendment 51 provides a safe route for people who are victims of genocide, a route that is currently not available in the UK.

The amendment passed in the House of Lords by 172 votes to 120

For 18 years David Alton was a Member of the House of Commons and today he is an Independent Crossbench Life Peer in the UK House of Lords.
