Lord Alton asked the former First Sea Lord, Admiral Sir Philip Jones, about maritime security – in places like the South China Sea – about our ability to protect British overseas territories, such as the Falkland Islands and Tristan da Chuna, and about the safe disposal of unexplored ordinance on the seabeds around the U.K.
